  24. plain numbered versions. Don't know how or why...

  31. The idea is, to give number-crunching speed in a particular system. The fact is
  32. that companies like Intel and Motorola will set up systems themselves in an
  33. attempt to get the most out of the processor for the test, so that they can
  34. advertise their SPEC ratings. So if one compares these sorts of tests, then
  35. that will give a pretty good comparison of the processors' number-crunching
  36. (which seems to be most of the work they do).
